This is a rare opportunity to join a highly technical founding team working directly on problems that most engineers never get close to. You’ll ship production-grade systems from day one, take full ownership of your work, and help shape the direction of both the product and the company.
- Architect and build high-performance infrastructure for AI model deployment and inference
- Design scalable backend systems and distributed services powering real-time AI applications
- Contribute across the stack – from data pipelines and APIs to model orchestration and infra automation
- Work closely with the founders on core product design and technical strategy
- Build fast, ship often, and help define how the company engineers at scale
- Exceptional academics – likely from a top university (e.g. Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, or leading global equivalent) with strong fundamentals in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Track record in world-class engineering environments – e.g. top-tier tech companies, research labs, or high-performance startups
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production systems
- Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles and system design
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Backend engineering (Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript)
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform)
- Large Language Models (LangChain, RAG, fine-tuning, inference pipelines)
- Base salary up to £180,000
