Applied AI Engineer London
I am working with a well-funded, early-stage UK technology company building a genuinely interesting AI platform. They operate in the autonomous systems and advanced data space, pulling together information from multiple sensors and sources and turning it into practical insight that clients can actually use.
This is not a research environment and it is not about building endless proof of concepts. The focus is on delivering production systems that work reliably in the real world. It is a fast-moving, engineering-led team where people are trusted to get on with things.
They are looking for a AI Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer who has taken models into production and understands what that really involves. Strong Python is essential, along with experience in AWS or similar cloud environments. You should be comfortable with CI/CD, Docker and modern development practices. Experience in using LLMs in production will be required and strong Data Science background with experience of multiple Machine Learning approaches will be important. Knowledge of Computer Vision with Object Tracking and Object Detection will be beneficial.

The team is still relatively small, so there is genuine opportunity to influence both the product and the engineering standards as the company grows.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + benefits
Location: Hybrid working - London
Duration: Permanent
