Full Stack .NET Developer (Mid to Senior)
Oxfordshire | Remote-first | Defence & Aerospace
About the Company
This organisation builds enterprise-grade software used in high-risk, highly regulated environments, including defence and aerospace.
Their core platform is a training and resource management system designed to handle complex operational lifecycles. This is not marketing or brochure-style work—it’s business-critical software where auditability, compliance, and reliability are essential.
Following several recent contract wins, the company is entering a significant growth phase. Demand is high, and they are looking for engineers who can contribute quickly and deliver high-quality solutions.
The Role
They are hiring:
• 1 Mid-Level Full Stack Developer
• 1 Senior Full Stack Developer
Both positions are hands-on.
Mid-level developers will focus on building features and enhancing existing functionality.
Senior developers will take ownership of key areas, driving work from concept through to delivery.
This is true product engineering within a complex enterprise environment. Systems are often deployed in private cloud settings and must meet strict standards for quality and traceability.
Tech Stack
Backend:
• .NET / C#
• Enterprise-level application architecture
Frontend:
• Vue.js (React experience is transferable)
• JavaScript
Engineering Practices:
• Unit testing is required
• TDD is preferred (pragmatic approach)
• Code reviews via pull requests
• Structured, maintainable design patterns
What They’re Looking For
You should:
• Have experience building application-level software (not just CMS or marketing sites)
• Understand business logic and structured application design
• Be comfortable writing unit tests and considering test coverage
• Have knowledge of design patterns and clean architecture
• Be pragmatic and delivery-focused
• Be able to work independently in a remote-first environment
For senior candidates:
• Comfortable owning features or modules end-to-end
• Able to become productive quickly in an existing codebase
• High level of autonomy (formal leadership not required)
Nice to Have
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g. defence, aerospace, healthcare, fintech)
• Experience working in secure or private cloud environments
• Exposure to AI tools within development workflows
Working Model
• Remote-first
• Initial onboarding on-site in Oxfordshire
• Quarterly in-person meetups
• Optional office access
Salary
£40,000 – £65,000
Higher salaries may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Growth Opportunity
The company is scaling following recent contract wins. While immediate leadership responsibilities are not required, there is clear potential for progression over the next 6–12 months as the team expands.
