Senior Software Tester
I’m working with a MedTech Startup based in London who are dedicated to revolutionizing how we treat eating disorders. Did you know that many diagnosed with eating disorders don't receive the help they need? Their mission is to change that by making evidence-based treatments accessible to everyone globally. They are looking for a Senior Software tester to automate the software testing of their Web App.
You’ll join a team of experts from a renowned university, specializing in health technology. Their focus is on developing tech-driven solutions for eating disorders, and we have the support of a top-tier UK venture capital firm.
The role is hybrid and will require you to spend an average of 2 days per week in their Central London office.

Responsibilities:
- Understand the product vision and create clear test strategies.
- Collaborate on test objectives during detailed designs.
- Work within an Agile team for timely execution of User Stories.
- Manage test data, including sensitive information, using best practices.
- Automate tests for continuous product testing.
- Champion user needs and industry compliance.
- Prioritize concerns and escalate issues based on metrics.
- Contribute to product innovation and process improvements.
About You - Ideal Traits:
- Strong communicator with keen attention to detail and curiosity.
- Deep knowledge of software testing for web and mobile apps.
- Ability to create test automation from scratch using Python and tools like Selenium or BrowserStack
- Experience in interoperability and API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, XRay.
- Highly organized and methodical with excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to execute test scripts, report daily progress, and work remotely independently.
Advantageous Skills (not critical):
- Experience in medical or highly audited environments.
- Test certifications (e.g., ISTQB) and familiarity with standards (e.g., ISO27001, ISO13485).
- A degree in English or a technical field (or equivalent).
- Software security awareness.
- An interest in mental health.
