Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturer of high-precision machine control systems used by companies across a variety of industries and applications. Including the development of devices used to test the crunchiness of crisps, the elasticity of elastic bands, vehicle crash simulators to test seat belts, medical device test machines, and so much more.
We're looking for a firmware engineer to join their multi-disciplinary engineering team where you'll be integral to building their brand new firmware platform, and then integrating their existing & future projects onto it. The project is at the very early stages right now, so you'll have an opportunity to work on a project that will span the course of around 3 years, seeing it through to deployment.
The company has invested in brand-new firmware tools & you'll be working with state-of-the-art Ti processors. There are also multiple routes for progression, whether you'd like to go down a "technical director" route or would prefer to take on more people/project management responsibilities in the future; it's up to you to create your own development plan. The team will just help you to get there.
Essential skills:
Demonstrable ability with C++ development on RTOS-based embedded systems, or strong with "C" and capable of picking up C++
Experience working with embedded hardware (microcontrollers/processors) and electronics
Strong communication skills
Desirable skills:
Experience with VxWorks/ThreadX RTOS
Previous experience working on machine control projects
Experience with industrial electronics projects
On offer:
An annual salary of up to £55,000 (DOE)
Private health insurance
Life assurance of up to 6x annual income
Pension contribution of up to 11%
25 days holiday excluding bank holidays, with an additional 10 purchasable days
Company-funded training + much more.
There's a 2-stage interview process, and we're looking to get the right person in and started as soon as possible. So if you're interested in learning more about this role and being put forward. Please don't hesitate to apply now or contact Kirstin at Avanti Recruitment for immediate consideration.
