They are looking for someone to join them as the first Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role shaping the future of their data!
As the first Senior Data Engineer (Azure) you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data solutions. You'll be responsible for developing the data architecture, handling merger-related data migrations, ensuring data quality, and enabling advanced analytics to drive business decisions.
As a key member of the team, you'll spearhead the data architecture and migration efforts. This involves taking ownership of data migration processes during mergers and acquisitions, designing scalable and efficient cloud-based data architectures, and ensuring systems can effectively handle data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
• Extensive cloud data engineering experience (5+ years), particularly with Azure
• Proficiency in Azure services: SQL, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimisation and database design
• Proven track record in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling
• Azure certifications in Database Administration or Data Engineering
Nice to have:
• Experience with Python/PySpark and MySQL on Azure
• Additional Azure certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer)
• Knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau/PowerBi)
