

Avanti Recruitment is currently partnered with a global engineering company who specialise in Marine automation and guidance systems. You will be working on applications that are revolutionizing the shipping industry and collision detection utilizing AI.
This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in the office based in Leicester.
We are looking for engineers with a couple of years' experience to join the team in these exciting times as they begin working on new large scale projects.
You'll be working on solutions making the freight and logistics industry more intelligent, safer, more reliable and environmentally sustainable with a heavyweight leadership team and a company that develop and invest in their people; offering multiple paths for career progression and development
The team are working on varied projects and will allow you to be working on the cutting edge of the industry. There is option if you wish to travel globally to see your work in action if you wish too.

Essential skills:
C++ for embedded targets
Familiarity programming on Linux OS (Posix)
Experience with RTOS-based embedded software development
Experience with communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, etc.)
Desirable:
Device driver / kernel development
Experience / knowledge of Kalman / Butterworth filters
Knowledge of Python for testing & scripting
Experience / knowledge of image processing
The role is paying up to £55k, bonus scheme, 8% non-contributory pension, 25 days holiday plus BH, Medicash scheme and flexible hours.
